Actress Mayim Bialik, of "Blossom" and "The Big Bang Theory" fame, and her husband Michael Stone are throwing in the towel.

Bialik has filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, according to TMZ. The couple seems to be parting on good terms, however, since Bialik has requested that she and her husband receive joint custody of the their two sons.

A baby who appeared to be less than 24 hours old was found abandoned in a bathroom at Northwest Medical Center on Tuesday, the Arizona Daily Star reports.

While that may not be the ideal move for a mom to make, it was the right one, according to authorities. Under Arizona law, mothers have 72 hours to drop their newborn off at "safe havens" like hospitals and fire stations. The law was enacted to prevent newborn injuries and deaths by giving overwhelmed mothers a safe place to leave their children.

On Thanksgiving day, a Phoenix dad awoke from a night of drinking at a Valley motel to find his 3-year-old son was missing.

Dominique San Miguel reportedly brought his 5- and 3-year-old sons to a Motel 6 to party with two women he'd just met. While Dominique was passed out, the two women allegedly took off with his 3-year-old son Stephon, AZfamily.com reports.

After seven years, Danica Patrick's marriage has apparently hit the skids. The NASCAR driver announced Tuesday that she and her husband Paul Hospenthal are getting divorced, The Washington Post reports.

Robert Stafford and his 21-year-old girlfriend Zylvoria Walton had been warned. Child Protective Services told the Bagdad couple that if they didn't clean up their home and take better care of their two toddlers, the children would be taken away.

Last week, CPS workers followed through, taking the couple's two children into custody. Stafford and Walton were arrested and charged with two counts of felony child abuse, ABC 15 News reports.

A Phoenix mom, originally from Iraq, has been sentenced to two years of probation for beating her 20-year-old daughter. Yusra Farhan didn't like it when her daughter began talking to a boy, so she allegedly tied her up and beat her with a shoe.

When questioned, Farhan said she did it because of "Iraqi culture," the Phoenix New Times reports.

A Kingman mom has been accused of putting partying before parenting.

Amanda Marie Morse reportedly left her two young children home alone while she went clubbing last Thursday night, ABC 15 News reports. The 24-year-old mom is now facing child abuse charges.

A Valle mom came home from work on Monday to find her 2-year-old daughter unconscious. The toddler was found to have severe head trauma, and later died of her injuries.

Jose Zenaido Acevedo, the mom’s boyfriend, was watching the girl at the time, but denied causing the injuries. During police questioning, however, Acevedo reportedly changed his story multiple times. He’s now facing child abuse and aggravated assault charges, according to AZfamily.com.

It's been almost three years since Baby Gabriel's mother Elizabeth Johnson was a free woman. According to Judge Joseph Kreamer, it could be a lot longer.

On Thursday, Kreamer denied Johnson's request for release, citing a state law that prohibits release in cases where a prison sentence is likely, CBS 5 News reports.

Johnson is facing two to nine years in prison for custodial interference and other charges related to the disappearance of her son Gabriel.
