Ah, Valentine’s Day. The one day of the year when your romantic status is placed under a microscope. Whether you are looking for love, found it, or lost it, Phoenix is a great place for all three.
Looking for Love
Never fear, lonely hearts: Yahoo! Travel recently selected two Valley cities to be in the Top 10 Best Cities for Dating in America. “Sun-kissed sister cities” Phoenix and Scottsdale were chosen for their outdoorsy dating options, world-class spas, foodie scenes, and chic nightlife.
Making Your Love Official
As we recently reported, Valentine’s Day 2012 may be the best day of the century to get married for Arizonans. Not only is it the most romantic day of the year, but it’s also the 100th anniversary of Arizona’s entrance into statehood.
Be prepared if you’re planning to get married on the national day of love, however. You’re not the only one with the idea - Valentine’s Day is typically the most popular day for issuing marriage licenses, according to the Maricopa County Superior Court.
With all of the talk about romance, soul mates, and true love, you may be concentrating on the lack thereof. If so, Valentine’s Day could be your Independence Day, at least that’s what a law firm in West Virginia is claiming. The Webb Law Firm holds an annual contest in which they give away a free divorce to a person who presents the most compelling story of why they deserve one.
Unfortunately, the contest is only open to West Virginia residents, and we’re not aware of any Arizona law firms specializing in family law offering the same deal. However, if you are contemplating a divorce from your not-so-significant other, you should consider consulting with an experienced Phoenix family law attorney about the process.
