Steve Nash and Alejandra Amarilla File For Divorce

NBA Star Steve Nash, point guard for the Phoenix Suns, announced on Saturday that he would be divorcing his estranged wife Alejandra Amarilla after five years of marriage. According to The New York Daily News, the announcement of Steve Nash’s divorce came just hours after the birth of his third child Matteo Nash.

The Phoenix point guard reportedly said in a statement that he was excited to have a new son, but that him and Alejandra Amarilla would still be proceeding with the dissolution of marriage, as planned. The couple have been living separately for several months but claim that they’re both committed to raising their children. In addition to their new son Matteo, the couple also have two twin daughters that were born the year before they were married.

It could be interesting to see what the final divorce decree will look like in Steve Nash’s divorce case. Some fans are probably wondering what the child support and child custody agreement will be between the couple. Because Steve Nash makes a great deal of money as an NBA basketball player, it’s possible that Alejandra Amarilla will be entitled to alimony or spousal maintenance payments.
