A judge in Marin County, California signed off on the divorce between actors Sean Penn and Robin Wright, making their divorce officially finalized. Their split, which became official on July 27, shows just how complicated a divorce can get.
E! Online reports that "Forrest Gump" star Robin Wright first filed for divorce in December 2007, but withdrew the divorce petition in April 2008. The couple then filed for legal separation in 2009, but their case was later dismissed after the two reconciled. Later that year, Robin Wright's divorce filed the divorce papers for a second time, citing irreconcilable differences.
So after 14 years of marriage, the couple have ended their relationship for good. Yet questions are surfacing as to what will happen to their 16-year-old son, Hopper Jack. Daily Mail reports that the divorce fillings show that the couple plan to share custody over the boy. The couple also have another 19-year-old daughter named Dylan, but because she is over the age of 18, she does not have to be assigned to a particular parent.
Divorce lawyers put quite a lot of work into the couple's multiple divorce filings. While not everybody goes through such a dramatic break-up from a spouse as Robin Wright and Sean Penn did, Phoenix family lawyers in Arizona can still help Arizona residents that are going through a divorce by filing all the legal paperwork necessary and providing representation during family court hearings.
