Family Abductions Reported Through AZ Amber Alert System

Child abductions are a serious criminal matter in the eyes of the law, but sometimes a non-custodial parent will want to do anything they can to be with their children, even if it means violating a court order or abducting a kid.

Family abductions occur throughout the state of Arizona, but fortunately the state does have an Amber Alert system, which broadcasts alerts about abducted children in the area. AzAmberAlert.org states that the program works with Phoenix law enforcement agencies to quickly alert community members about missing and endangered children. Community members can then call law enforcers or Amber Alert organizers to report information about the case.

Community members can sign up to receive Amber Alerts via the organization's website. Anybody who has a child that has been abducted by a parent or other family member may consider consulting a Phoenix family lawyer for the best advice on how to get a child back. If there's not already a child custody agreement in place, then such a court order can assign children to a parent through a legal document. This is perhaps the best way to ensure that the child is able to stay with you when there's complicated family matters.

To learn more about types of child custody or the procedures a parent must go through to obtain custody, it's best to speak with a Phoenix family law attorney. To find a family law attorney, see FindLaw's local directory of attorneys.
